Coming to Austin for South by Southwest? Consider the Benefits of Corporate Housing!

The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conferences and Festivals attract tens of thousands of visitors to Austin, Texas each year from across the country and world. With hotels packed to capacity and nightly rates through the roof, why not consider a better alternative? Corporate housing is not just for employees on temporary relocation.

Blending music, film, and the latest in digital technology and creativity into 10 days of fun and excitement, SXSW is one the most highly anticipated cultural events each year. Running from March 11-20 this year, there might be no better place for creative and entrepreneurial individuals with an interest in technology, film, and music to gather. The Lone Star State’s capital is always lively and has tons of exciting cultural events year-round. In fact, many people consider Austin to be the live music capital of the world. But this 10-day period during SXSW brings Austin, also known as ATX, to an entirely different level of vibrancy and fun.

The event kicks off with 5 days of SXSW Interactive Festival, which features presentations and panels from the movers and shakers in technology and digital work. SXSW Interactive has proven to be a great place for young startups to generate buzz. Some notable tech companies that made their big splash in previous years at SXSW Interactive include Twitter, Foursquare, and Meerkat.

Also starting on March 11th and running for 9 days is the SXSW Film Conference and Festival. Lots of creative folk flock to the conference and festival to enjoy a lineup of films from wide-ranging genres and network with and learn from like-minded film and television enthusiasts. The SXSW Film Festival often hosts world premieres. Last year’s event included the screening of 145 full-length feature films, a number that set SXSW’s all-time record. The runaway hit Trainwreck by Amy Schumer had its world premiere at SXSW last year, as did Furious 7. Some big-name speakers will be part of the festivities this year, including Jake Gyllenhaal and Sarah Green.

Last, but certainly not least, is the South by Southwest Music and Media Conference. Over the course of 6 days – from March 15-20th this year – ATX will be rocking with all types of live performers. In recent years, SXSW has attracted big-name talent such as Snoop Dogg and Wyclef Jean as well as indie and emerging artists and bands such as Spoon, Portugal, and Courtney Barnett. This year’s lineup of performers includes Judith Hill, Grizfolk, and Systema Solar.
