Check Out These Dallas Rooftop and Patio Bars
Dallas is known for having great nightlife. With the warm weather of spring, now is the perfect time to check out some of the city’s best rooftop bars. Are you coming to Dallas for a short visit or an extended stay? Kozi Corporate Housing has a great fully-furnished apartment with your name on it!
When it comes to bars and libations, there is something magical when you combine warm weather with a spectacular view to the mix. We recently wrote about the Dallas skyline. Now we want to share the scoop on some of the city’s best rooftop bars.
If world-class Japanese food sounds good, you should definitely check out Tei-An in the Arts District of Dallas for delicious soba noodles, dumplings, sushi and sashimi, and more. Located in One Arts Plaza (1722 Routh St at the intersection of Routh and Flora), Tei-An is about more than just great food. Just recently, the restaurant increased its emphasis on its drink menu by bringing on board two new mixologists. Tei-An’s open-air rooftop patio has an awesome view of Downtown and features a separate menu of sushi, sashimi, and soba. Although membership is required for rooftop dining and drinking, those dining in the restaurant are those welcome to enjoy a drink upstairs. Tei-An hosts jazz and other music events regularly, which are promoted publicly via the restaurant’s email list and Facebook page.
For a sweet view of Downtown, then another great place to check out is Stackhouse. Stackhouse (located at 2917 Gaston Ave) does not have the grandeur and chic of a rootop bar of a high-rise building. On the contrary, Stackhouse is a quintessential down-to-earth joint literally and figuratively. Housed in a small cottage and featuring a deck and upstairs patio, Stackhouse gives you the opportunity to enjoy delicious burgers, fresh cut fries, and an ice cold beer – the full bar serves wine and spirits, too – while taking in the skyline.
In Lower Greenville, HG Sply Co. boasts a great rooftop bar and patio overlooking Downtown. With a paleo-inspired farm-to-table menu of clean food, HG Sply Co. (2008 Greenville Ave) serves up creative and delicious eats, too. It is a fantastic spot to take in the sunset while sharing a good drink over good conversation. Brunch is also an ideal time to swing by, as you can often catch live tunes by musicians. The rustic décor provides a perfect setting to match the awesome view.
The rooftop SODA Bar at the NYLO Dallas Southside Hotel offers arguably the ultimate experience when it comes to rooftop bars in Dallas. Once there, you will find a diverse crowd of tourists and locals enjoying the picture-perfect view. NYLO SouthSide’s Terrace Bistro and SODA Bar (1325 S Lamar St) delivers the combination of great food, even better specialty drinks, and a stunning view of Downtown. Did we forget to mention there is an infinity pool with poolside cabanas? Yep.
